Rescue Cattle Grant

The Board is providing financial assistance in the form of grants-in-aid to Animal Welfare Organizations (AWOs) recognized by the Board for rescued cattle from illegal transportation etc. and handed over to the Gaushalas / AWOs based on the FIRs lodged / court directions through Police. Those rescued animals are sheltered by the Gaushalas / AWOs. The Board is supporting these Gaushalas / AWOs by providing financial assistance for maintenance of the rescued animals handed over to them through court directions or by the police as per the FIRs. The Board was earlier providing the financial assistance to the such AWOs under Rescued Cattle Grant at the rate of Rs.25/- per animal per day which has now been revised to Rs. 80/- per animal per day for a period of maximum two years with a ceiling of Rs.5,00,000/- annually.
